When the current owner bought the motel it was closed down and known as the Old Dirranbandi Motel. When he reopened the motel, the name stuck and it is still known buy the locals as the Old Moey.
The motel sits on a 3,035sqm block and has 16 rooms. 2 rooms with single beds. The rest double bed and single bed. The buildings have been levelled and new stumps installed. New split systems and new TV’s in rooms. All rooms have ensuites. It costs $125/night to stay at the motel.
The Hotel side of the business is very popular with the locals. Takeaways are frequent which revels an opportunity to open Dirranbandi’s only drive through bottle shop in the future. The bar has a cold room and fie pit. The hotel also has a licensed restaurant which is currently not in use. The guests get food from the pub or use the bbq areas provided at the Motel. There is a large dining room with bain maries and large commercial kitchen also not currently in use for guests. The owners estimates that turn over could be doubled if the restaurant was to reopen.
The building also have 3 extra storage rooms, 2 bedroom self contained manager quarters with workshop, 2nd cold room for storage.
Recent updates include new deck and updated toilets.
